High School
Academics
The upper school academic program at Foundation Academy is structured for students to earn a college-preparatory diploma in an engaging educational environment. The curriculum is designed to develop students who can reason, research, express, and critically think in order to prepare them for collegiate rigor. The faculty consists of committed Christians who are experienced and passionate about their subject area and teach with a Biblical worldview.
Foundation Academy offers a variety of options for accelerated coursework at the high school level. Students may participate in Honors classes, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and Dual Enrollment (DE) courses through Southeastern and Grand Canyon University. Participation in AP and DE courses allow students the opportunity to begin earning their first college credits while still in high school. Foundation Academy also partners with Orange Technical College for students interested in pursuing trade-related careers. Elective offerings consist of the fine arts, foreign languages, and technology areas.
Extracurriculars
Foundation Academy is continuously adding to what we refer to as “FA After 3”, after school programs, and extracurricular activities. Each one meant to complement the Foundation Academy experience and intended to engage each student’s passions and interests.
Upper School students participate in dozens of clubs and student organizations. Some clubs are chapters of national organizations or activities. Other clubs are just for student enjoyment or provide a service to the community or school.
Athletics
It is the desire for Foundation Academy athletics to offer athletes a program that provides a variety of sports with godly coaches who are experts in their field. Coaches that understand the importance of developing fierce competitors in the playing arena, as well as in the Kingdom of God.
At Foundation Academy, student-athletes are pushed to develop what is referred to as THE HEART OF A LION, a bold heart that confronts adversity with strength, dignity, and wisdom; desiring to face fear when others will not, while loyally protecting others. An athlete with THE HEART OF A LION leads its PRIDE with focused determination, diligence, and fierceness to the task at hand. Throughout the year, the Athletic Department will be focusing on this theme with the intent of being able to come alongside each student-athlete as they become more aware and intentional about practicing these character traits in themselves while displaying them for the FA Family, OUR LION PRIDE.
Life at Foundation Academy
At Foundation Academy we have methodically built a culture that takes into consideration growth and development from childhood to young adulthood. Our goal is to provide a broad, vibrant range of experiences that are a testament to who they are as individuals and how their gifts, talents, and passions fit into God’s perfect will for their lives.
Our Tilden Campus sits on 63+ beautiful acres and is comprised of one main building called the Campus Life Center, our Technology & Math Annex, the double-sized Lieferman Gymnasium, and 4 small buildings dedicated to such disciplines as Band, Drama, and a few select other offerings.
Our Successes
Foundation Academy’s graduating classes have 100% college placement since 2010 and have been offered $3.4 million in scholarship opportunities last year alone.
